Visitas guiadas por Sierra Gelada.
¡¡Nos llega la primavera!! Y qué mejor manera para disfrutar de ella que darse un paseo por el espacio natural protegido de Sierra Gelada, que para quien no lo sepa se encuentra en la zona del Rincón de Loix de Benidorm.
A partir de este mes de marzo el Parque Natural de la Serra Gelada ha programado dos visitas mensuales, todas gratuitas, a este emblemático lugar. Dichas visitas tendrán lugar el 7 y 14 de marzo, 11 y 25 de abril, y 9 y 23 de mayo. Apúntate las fechas si estás alojado en alguno de nuestros hoteles de Benidorm.
Se trata de un recorrido diseñado y encabezado por el equipo del Parque, en el cual se recorren las minas de ocre de los barrancos de l’Albir, se entra en contacto con los delfines mulares que viven en el medio marino y con las principales especies botánicas del paraje, y se visita la Torre Bombarda, una atalaya del siglo XVI, cuya historia está ligada a los históricos ataques piratas.
Otros puntos de interés geológico y paisajístico en el parque son:
- En la sierra: El acantilado en sí, las fracturas a lo largo del acantilado, entre las que destacan las fallas de la Punta de l’Escaleta y de la Punta de l’Albir, la presencia de eolianitas y dunas fósiles, las cuevas, en particular “La boca de la Ballena” por sus formaciones de estalactitas y estalagmitas, y los yacimientos paleontológicos y trazas fósiles distribuidas en la columna cretácica de la sierra.
- En el Illot de Benidorm: el propio islote, porque su perfil y buzamiento delatan su continuidad estructural con serra Gelada, ayudando a la interpretación del paisaje.
